Fintech Global needed their aging monolithic banking core replaced before it became a bottleneck. We were brought in to design a distributed architecture that could handle triple the transaction volume without the 200ms processing delays they were seeing at peak.
The existing system ran on a decade-old Oracle stack. Every schema change required a four-hour deployment window. Real-time fraud detection was bolted on as an afterthought. The engineering team had accumulated so much technical debt that shipping a simple UI change took two sprints.
We rebuilt the core around an event-driven microservices mesh using Kafka as the backbone. Isolated bounded contexts let teams deploy independently. We introduced a CQRS pattern for the read/write separation that the fraud engine needed. The new stack went from monolith to 23 independent services—each testable, deployable, and observable on its own.
